- 1 year of experience in food service, preferably in congregate care or industrial kitchen space required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
- Assure proper food storage, sanitation, and rotation of refrigerators, freezers, pantries, serving, dining, and kitchen areas.
- Prepare, cook, deliver, and serve snacks and meals.
- Ensure all sharp utensils are safe and securely locked.
- Remain current on developments and best practices in the dietary industry.
- Provide feedback to supervisors and managers regarding dietary needs and concerns of residents
- Complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner, meeting all standards of content and professional presentation.
- Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks such as maintaining files and balancing inventories.
- Work collaboratively with staff, youth, families, and community contacts who have diverse backgrounds and experiences.
