Summary
Sr. Project Managers are first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising from within the heads of various departments in an organization before the problem escalates to higher authorities, as project representative.Â
Sr. Project Manager designs construction projects dealing with Land Development projects such as site design for new buildings, recreational facilities, trails, drainage, and other site related projects. In addition, the Sr. Project Manager monitors progress and performance against the project plan. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
Responsibilities
- Planning, development, implementation, and evaluation with the management of a wide variety of projectsÂ
- Resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departmentsÂ
- Maintain the progress, mutual interaction, and tasks of various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of overall failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs.Â
- Develop construction documents for site development projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Construction documents sets include site plan, grading and drainage, utility, erosion control, plan sheets and applicable detailsÂ
- Coordinate with the project team to develop and complete projects on time and on budget
- Complete plan review comments from internal quality control process and from the agency review processÂ
- Prepare written communications, applications, and reportsÂ
- Review and implement municipal zoning ordinances, geotechnical reports, as well as state and federal codes to ensure project complianceÂ
- Work in partnership with engineering staff to identify opportunities and constraints for development sites, assist in municipal meetings and submittals, and complete plan revisions as needed to obtain project approvalÂ
- Preparing for, attending and leading meetings with internal and external clientsÂ
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Landscape ArchitectureÂ
- Professional Engineer or Professional Landscape Architect license in the State of Arkansas
- 5 years’ experience as a Project ManagerÂ
- Through understanding of land development processesÂ
- Knowledge of regulations, policies, and proceduresÂ
- Initiative and ability to exercise independent judgmentÂ

- Strong work ethic, sets the exampleÂ
- Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.Â
Travel
- Most travel is limited to short or day trips to visit jobsites, meet clients, etc. Overnight trips are generally not required.Â
