Overview

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time or part-time EMT to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a certified Emergency Medical Technician, you will provide basic emergency rescue and medical care to the ill and injured while following all health, safety, and confidentiality policies and procedures.

Hours: 5:45 AM - 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM, and 5:45 AM - 5:00 PM.
7 Days a per week available,

Unit Description

Finger Lakes Gaming & Racetrack, owned and operated by Delaware North, features more than 1,500 video gaming machines and brings the thrill of live thoroughbred racing from April to November and year-round simulcast wagering on thoroughbred and harness racing from across the country. Finger Lakes presents various dining options including a large buffet.


Responsibilities

  • Administer first aid and perform injury assessments in accordance with Medical Emergency Procedures, transferring care to ambulance services as neededĀ 
  • Patrol buildings and grounds, inspect entry points, and monitor safety checkpoints to ensure facility security and compliance with safety and infection control standardsĀ 
  • Inspect and maintain emergency medical equipment, ensuring readiness and adherence to regulatory requirementsĀ 
  • Complete and transfer patient care records, reports, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and all state and federal regulationsĀ 
  • Support departmental objectives by following established policies and assisting with pre-shift communications and procedural updatesĀ 
  • Ability to drive company vehicles, both standard and automatic transmission

Qualifications

  • EMT certification with a minimum of 1 year of experienceĀ 
  • High school diploma or GED requiredĀ 
  • Must be able to obtain a New York State Racing and Wagering LicenseĀ Ā Ā 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for entire length of shiftĀ 
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequentlyĀ 
  • Ability to lift and move 125 poundsĀ or more on a regular basis as well as ability to lift and move adult patients Ā Ā
