TRUMPF is seeking candidates for an onsite internship in the Large Part Machining Department at our Farmington, CT location. Large parts machining supplies the customer with the highest quality parts on time while achieving expected productivity standards.
Internship Duration: Onsite in Farmington, CT from January 2027 - August 2027 At least 32 hours weekly
The responsibilities of a Manufacturing intern supporting Large Parts Machining:
Detailed process analytics
Fixture design
Process documentation
Leading continues improvement workshops
Working with other employees to improve current work practices
Requirements:
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining and ideally sheet metal manufacturing
CAD design experience SolidWorks is ideal but not required
Understanding which materials to use for different applications
Being able to read and understand advanced blueprints and drawings
Having great attention to quality
Education
Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing an undergraduateās degree in a related field
