The Warehouse Coordinator plays an important part in serving our field and office personnel with excellent customer service and teamwork while incorporating our core values of Safe, Accountable, Professional, Motivated, Can Do, and Curious. This position is responsible for handling a large volume and variety of tools and equipment. The Warehouse Manager oversees the warehouse operations for the Fargo location including: order fulfilment on tools & consumables, inventory management, warehouse organization, and managing warehouse staff.


Key Responsibilities:

These responsibilities generally describe the nature of the position and may not be all inclusive:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations:
    • Ensure orders are quickly and accurately completed
    • Escalate any out-of-stock or external rentals to Horwitz Tool Support & Inventory Manager
    • Ensure Tool Hound has been updated with issued items
    • Receiving of all parcels & packages.
    • Ensuring items are safely and accurately stored
    • Tool & Consumable inventory counts are accurate
    • New items are properly tagged (barcoded) and scanned into Tool Hound
    • Order tool & consumable restock and new purchases as needed
  • Assist as needed with deliveries – includes operating a vehicle.
    • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
    • Deliver materials or coordinate deliveries as directed.
    • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
    • Load, secure and unload tools and materials.
    • Turn in receipts and documentation received from deliveries.
  • Manage warehouse inventory needs including:
    • Ensure inventory is current and properly stocked
    • New items are properly tagged and scanned into Tool Hound
    • Order tool & consumable restock and new purchases as needed
  • Manages Tool Order and Inventory and is ultimately responsible for tool order fulfillment, fastener field support, tool returns, and repairs.
  • Maintains positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, Horwitz office and field employees.
  • Collaborates on changes and implementation with Tool Hound, Ordering website, and other technology used.
  • Proactive planning to ensure orders can be efficiently and effectively fulfilled.
  • Maintains positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, Horwitz office and field employees.
  • Collaborates on changes and implementation with Tool Hound, Ordering website, and other technology used with greater Horwitz Warehouse & Logistics team.
  • Assists Warehouse & Logistics General Manager on special projects or initiatives.
  • Cultivate a fun and productive work environment.

  • Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable learning and using inventory management systems and other technology.
  • Basic math and intermediate computer skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, dependable, and team-oriented


Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant warehouse, inventory, logistics, or related experience preferred.
  • Mechanical construction or construction warehouse experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with inventory or tool-tracking software preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to safely operate company vehicles required.
