Service Technician - Fall River

This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Service Technician opening to join our Commercial Laundry service organization. This role is for our Fall River, MA location. This role is onsite.
 
The Service Technician will assist customers by providing excellent representation in all areas of customer service and customer field support; this includes customer inquiries, correspondence, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting. This position consists of approximately 0-5% travel time with the remaining time spent in the office and working from home after the appropriate training has completed.

Your responsibilities will include

• Act as inside service expert for product and customer liaison.
• Guide, inform and troubleshoot trade customers service needs. Working cross-functionally with factory and engineering as needed. Define and escalate to Customer Relations Manager as needed.
• Initiate field feedback from customers to direct project plans for new and existing products.
• Be a SPOC (single point of contact) for 20-25 small accounts and support their needs from a service perspective
• Travel approximately 5% of the time

Minimum requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of appliance or mechanical technician experience 

Preferred skills and experiences

• Competitive attitude, willingness to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment and desire to win
• Experience working with Google sheets or Microsoft office
• Team player
