RN Rehab Intake Coordinator

Evaluates patient referrals for Inpatient Rehabilitation admission according to standardized criteria and coordinates specialized activities/services/equipment to achieve efficient and effective outcomes after transfer. Communicates with insurance provider and validates benefits as necessary.   

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing

Licensure, Certification, Registration:

• • BLS

     

    One of the following:

    • Current Alabama RN license
    • Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

    *Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

     

    Certified Rehab Nurse**

     

    **Certification must be obtained within 18 months of entry into position

Desired Qualifications:

• BSN
• Considerable knowledge of acute care med-sur nursing
• Knowledge of Inpatient Rehabilitation Medicare admission criteria
