ABOUT SOCCER 5

Soccer 5 is coming to Texas. Our first location will open in Everman, with six outdoor fields designed to give players, families, teams, coaches, and the community a great place to play and connect.

The facility will host field rentals, pickup soccer, leagues, youth training, camps, birthday parties, and private events.

We’re looking for a hands-on, bilingual General Manager who is excited about building something from the ground up. You’ll help create the opening team, introduce Soccer 5 to the community, and build the relationships and operating foundation that will shape our future growth in Texas.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As General Manager, you’ll be the leader of the Everman business. You’ll own the numbers and the people behind them, including revenue, field utilization, recurring customers, team performance, labor, customer experience, safety, and facility standards.

This is a builder-operator role. One day you may be meeting with a local club, school, or business. The next, you may be coaching your team, reviewing performance, solving a customer issue, or jumping in to help execute a major event.

During launch, you’ll work hands-on alongside the team. The long-term goal is not for you to do everything yourself. It is to build strong leaders, clear routines, and an operation that consistently performs through the team.

This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Director of Operations. Evening and weekend availability is required based on business needs, especially during launch.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Growing the Business

  • Build the local growth plan for rentals, recurring bookings, leagues, programs, camps, parties, and events.
  • Own revenue and field utilization across peak, off-peak, weekday, and weekend hours.
  • Build genuine relationships throughout the community and turn those relationships into recurring customers, partnerships, and booked field hours.

Leading and Developing the Team

  • Build the staffing plan and recruit, onboard, coach, and retain a dependable opening team.
  • Set clear expectations, recognize strong performance, and address problems early and fairly.
  • Develop Shift Leaders and future Assistant Managers who can lead the daily operation with confidence.

Creating a Great Customer Experience

  • Be a visible leader who gets to know customers, teams, organizers, and community partners.
  • Make sure bookings, payments, waivers, field assignments, programs, and events are handled accurately.
  • Ensure the facility is safe, clean, organized, and ready to deliver a great experience every day.

Running a Healthy Operation

  • Manage labor and controllable expenses while protecting customer service and safety.
  • Review performance regularly and act when revenue, utilization, labor, or service falls below plan.

Communicating and Getting Things Done

  • Maintain a clear weekly scorecard and communicate results, risks, staffing needs, and customer concerns early.
  • Bring possible solutions when raising problems and follow priorities through to completion.
  • Work closely with company teams, vendors, local partners, and leadership.

OPENING PRIORITIES

  • Hire, onboard, and train the opening team.
  • Introduce Soccer 5 to the Everman community and build the initial customer and partnership pipeline.
  • Confirm that the facility, systems, equipment, inventory, safety procedures, and team are ready for opening.
  • Establish the first 90-day business and operating priorities.

HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED

  • Revenue growth, field utilization, and recurring bookings.
  • Strong leagues, programs, parties, events, and community partnerships.
  • A dependable, well-trained team with developing leaders.
  • Consistent customer experiences and a safe, ready-to-play facility.
  • Healthy labor performance, controlled expenses, and consistent execution of priorities.

You don’t need to come from a soccer facility, but you do need to show that you can lead people, build customer relationships, and improve the performance of a customer-facing business.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • At least three years of management experience in sports, recreation, fitness, hospitality, entertainment, retail, or another customer-facing operation.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish communication is required. You must be comfortable leading employees, coaching performance, assisting customers, and handling escalations professionally in both languages.
  • Direct experience hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and managing the performance of hourly employees.
  • A track record of improving measurable business or team results.
  • Experience building local relationships, prospecting, selling, and following opportunities through to a result.
  • Comfort working with revenue reports, labor targets, operating scorecards, and business systems.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to remain calm and professional during customer concerns, employee issues, incidents, and changing priorities.
  • Proactive communication and reliable follow-through. Your team and leadership should not have to wonder where an important issue stands.
  • Availability to work on-site during evenings and weekends, especially during launch.
  • Ability to work actively outdoors, walk throughout the facility, and assist with routine operational tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to complete applicable background-screening, safeguarding, and training requirements.

WHY JOIN SOCCER 5

  • Take the lead on Soccer 5’s first Texas location.
  • Build a business, team, and local presence from the ground up.
  • Have real ownership over the performance and direction of your location.
  • Work in an active environment built around soccer, community, and bringing people together.
  • Help shape how Soccer 5 grows across Texas.
