Job DetailsJob Location: Bigfoot Beverages Eugene - Eugene, OR 97405Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $34.72 HourlyJob Shift: DayThe Lead Driver will coordinate the daily operations and activities of the Delivery Drivers. This position will teach and coach a team of Delivery Drivers to ensure accuracy and efficiency standards are met. The Lead Driver will be responsible for training new team members while also providing ongoing support to current Delivery Drivers to ensure knowledge of their role, consistent retail execution and company standards are met. Works closely and has exceptional communication with the Driver Manager, other Lead Drivers, account personnel and their team.   What "doing it right" looks like for our Lead Drivers: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Plan and coordinate daily work to ensure efficiency in labor usage, customer service and completion of workload.  Manage daily routing to ensure that productivity targets for hours, stops and cases are met. Provide motivational leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Work with the Delivery Team, focusing on training to increase knowledge, experience and skill levels including retail execution, customer service and attention to Safe Driving practices. Measures the performance of the Delivery Drivers for accuracy of product placement, time management, customer service, cleanliness, and organization of company product.  Communicates when performance management and documentation is necessary. Acts as a daily resource to all Delivery Drivers regarding new products, out of stocks, promotions, pricing and POS placement. Maintain customer relationships through account visits, product knowledge, business updates, assisting with resets and display builds.  Provide leadership and support for situations involving problem resolution. Communicate account updates, inventory levels and opportunity for cooler space with the Driver Manager and Sales Team. Ensure execution of current Point of Sale materials at assigned accounts and communicate with Sales Team when materials need to be ordered or are missing. Collaborate with the Driver Manager regarding daily scheduling with a focus on productivity targets and training opportunities.  Reallocating resources when necessary to manage overtime and labor budgets. Partner with the Driver Manager and other Lead Drivers on a regular basis regarding strategic planning, personnel needs, training topics and overall execution. Follow company and account operating procedures when servicing accounts.  This includes but is not limited to signing in & out, placement of pallets on the sales floor, use of equipment, designated dock times, providing invoices and collecting payment. Adhere to all requirements for vehicle cleanliness and safety, follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations and company vehicle policies. Prevention of accidents and injuries through direction and support to all safety procedures, job training and hazard elimination practices.  Enforce company rules, investigate and record all reported injuries or safety concerns. What are we looking for in a Lead Driver?What we need from you: High School Diploma or GED Required. Valid Class A CDL Required   What's my shift? This is a full-time position.  The schedule has varying shift times and days based on the needs of the business and route. 40 plus hours weekly, with overtime as necessary.  Shifts will not be completed until all required work and route stops are done.     As a Lead Driver, you'll also need to: Adhere to company standards for driving a company vehicle, DOT drug screen and background check.  Employee must maintain DOT qualifications (Medical Card, Class A License, DOT physical/DOT Road Test.)   Change is the only constant:  Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
