Job DetailsJob Location: SESS Elmira - Elmira, NY 14905Salary Range: $64,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/year Summary: The Delivery Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the general delivery of company products. Essential Functions (must be able to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation): Oversee day-to-day activities of the delivery team at their respective Location(s) including supervise delivery stakeholders; interviewing, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed. Ensure that stakeholders’ activities are consistent with the Company mission, vision, values, safety standards, Standard Operating Procedures and all applicable state, federal and local laws, including but not limited to OS&H, EEO and DOL laws. Assist Safety Director with accident/incident reduction; Lead the delivery management team to train delivery drivers in safe workplace practices and policies. Perform administrative activities and data tracking associated with the effective management and performance of the delivery department. Coordinate with management to ensure that all delivery equipment is maintained to the standard expected to meet all DOT laws and requirements. Has a general duty to act in accordance with the Company’s mission, vision and values as well as execute all plans, assignments and/or directives assigned by management. The Delivery Supervisor, as is the case with all Company stakeholders, is expected to represent the Company in a manner consistent with all Company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Meets or exceeds agreed upon delivery performance goals in the areas of: Accident/Injury/ Incident prevention and reduction Stakeholder development Customer satisfaction Inventory control including breakage and shrinkage Supplier compliance Facility and vehicle maintenance Delivery driver productivity Other duties may be assigned, as necessary. Qualifications Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least five (5) years related experience and/or training in delivery or management work. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, business partners, and other employees of the organization. To perform this job successfully, the Delivery Supervisor must be able to learn and use internal company software, database software, and internet software, order processing systems, spreadsheet software, and word processing software. Must be able to communicate effectively to set direction and hold stakeholders accountable. Understanding of product code dating system. Valid driver’s license where applicable (i.e., CDL-A License or required to obtain CDL-A license) Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: While performing the duties of this job, the stakeholder is regularly required to talk or hear. The stakeholder frequently is required to stand, walk, and be able to use hands and reach with arms. The stakeholder must be able to regularly lift up to 165 lbs. Work Environment: This job operates in a warehouse environment and in a tractor trailer/delivery truck.Â
