Conversion - Production Team Member

Role Overview

The Production Machine Operator will be responsible for operating production equipment and tooling in a manufacturing setting. In this role, you will be expected to follow production schedules, ensure quality control, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)

• Operating various production equipment and tooling
• Assembling products and parts in manufacturing processes
• Performing validation testing
• Meeting deadlines of individual production targets during shifts
• Creating progress reports, defect reports, and incident reports as necessary
• Maintaining lineside stock levels
• Keeping the worksite clean
• Reviewing and following manufacturing manuals/processes
• Following the company's safety and quality guidelines

AUTHORITY & SCOPE

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required

Required Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Automotive manufacturing experience
• Experience with SAP/MES
• Automated production line experience
• Good understanding of how production equipment works
• Ability to detect potential problems with machinery
• Knowledge of basic safety rules and precautionary measures
