EHR Billing Specialist

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

· Ability to maintain appropriate relationships with people with disabilities and at-risk adolescents utilizing normalization principles

· Ability to interact effectively with all levels of CAU staff, members’ families, and within the community

· Ability to express oneself, both in writing and verbally, in a comprehensive manner, using the English language

· Good planning and organization skills

· Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Office products

· Ability to be resourceful and work independently

· Proficiency in mathematical functions

· Ability to problem-solve

· Ability to deliver effective presentations

· Ability to deliver effective training programs

· Ability to maintain and analyze budgets and interpret and analyze financial reports

· Demonstrate responsible leadership, mentoring and role-modeling

· Ability to effectively supervise employees and delegate responsibilities appropriately

· Ability to multi-task

· Access to an automobile vehicle, valid driver’s license and safe driving record required

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Coordinate efforts of department staff and assist in performing all functions required for the efficient operation of the billing department, with

particular attention given to maintaining a high level of quality and to completing assignments on a timely basis. Communicate effectively with

System Administrator regarding status of work. Be able and flexible to work additional hours as needed to complete assignments.

JOB TASKS

1. Become proficient in the use of Carelogic.

2. Enter authorizations into Carelogic and Excel tracking spreadsheets.

3. Become proficient in billing and accounts receivable within Carelogic.

4. Comprehensively QA review documentation for identified billable claims.

5. Be able to train billing and AR tasks in Carelogic to CAU and Associate Staff as needed.

6. Run canned and published reports in Carelogic to assist with the billing and payment processes.

7. Assist in troubleshooting billing and payment issues in Carelogic with billing and accounting staff.

8. Prepares Misc. Reports as needed.

9. Perform Quality Assurance checks within Carelogic as requested.

10. Provide back-up assistance with resolving Carelogic ticketing requests.

11. Attend all required meetings, including full-staff meetings during the year held at CAU.

12. Complete all orientation and self-instruct training as required.

13. Utilize the Carelogic Community website to enhance knowledge of Carelogic.
