How You Will Make an Impact:Â
The I&E Technician installs, troubleshoots, and maintains the instrumentation, electrical distribution, and control systems that keep Atlas operations running safely and reliably. Working from engineering standards, drawings, and schematics, this role calibrates and tests control devices, maintains motor control equipment, and documents every result accurately. Safety discipline and sound electrical judgment are central to the role, which also provides technical direction and quality oversight to third-party contractors performing work on site.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Install, diagnose, and maintain pneumatic and smart instrumentation, electrical distribution systems, motor control equipment, and the associated equipment software.Â
- Read and interpret manuals, company policies, engineering standards, regulatory requirements, drawings, and schematics, including electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings.Â
- Perform testing and calibration of control devices and document the results accurately.Â
- Use software tools to troubleshoot, configure, and support control solutions.Â
- Provide technical direction and oversight to third-party contractors, and inspect their completed work for quality and compliance with Atlas standards.Â
- Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow all permit and safe-work requirements.Â
- Comply with all Atlas Energy Solutions safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and report hazards promptly.Â
- Provide accurate written and electronic reporting of work performed, findings, and equipment status.Â
- Other duties as assigned.Â
Â
 QualificationsÂ
- Required:Â
- High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
- 5 years of instrumentation and electrical experience requiredÂ
- Working knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and motorsÂ
- Experience using software to troubleshoot, design, or configure control solutionsÂ
- Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of instrumentation and electrical hand tools, meters, and calibration equipmentÂ
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings and schematicsÂ
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formatsÂ
- Valid Driver’s License Â
Preferred:Â
- Technical certificate or associate degree in instrumentation, electrical technology, or a related disciplineÂ
- Experience in industrial, mining, manufacturing, energy, or heavy equipment operationsÂ
- journeyman electrician license preferredÂ

- Location: West TexasÂ
- Work Environment: Field, Shop, and Outdoors; industrial plant environment with limited climate controlÂ

- Regular use of hands to handle, finger, and reach materials, tools, and equipmentÂ
- Required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as needed, including work at elevation and in confined spacesÂ
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and heavier items with appropriate assistance or mechanical equipmentÂ
- Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusÂ
- Must be able to tolerate conditions associated with field and plant environments, including heat, cold, dust, noise, and limited climate control Â
