Maintenance Technician I

East Peoria, IL
$20.00–$22.00 per hour (Based on Experience) + Shift Differential
2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Full-Time | Overtime Available

As a Maintenance Technician I, you'll work alongside experienced technicians while learning to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, industrial robots, and automated production systems. Every day provides hands-on experience with new technologies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


A Day in the Life

Every shift begins with a team safety meeting to review priorities, discuss safety concerns, and prepare for the work ahead.

Throughout your shift, you may:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and robotic systems
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment issues
  • Replace belts, bearings, chains, rollers, filters, and other wear components
  • Help repair conveyors, motors, pumps, and gearboxes
  • Support maintenance and recovery of automated equipment and industrial robots
  • Assist with hydraulic and pneumatic system repairs
  • Complete general building and facility maintenance
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns alongside experienced technicians
  • Record completed work in the CMMS maintenance system
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Every day is different, allowing you to learn new equipment, robotic technologies, and industrial maintenance skills.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 1-2 years of maintenance, mechanical, manufacturing, automotive, robotics, or other hands-on technical experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Willingness to learn industrial maintenance and robotics technology
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or automation systems is helpful
  • Basic knowledge of industrial robots, robotic equipment, or automated manufacturing processes preferred
  • Ability to read measuring devices and follow written work instructions
  • Safety-minded with dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in an industrial environment

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Maintenance or technical certification
  • Manufacturing or warehouse maintenance experience
  • Basic robotics or automation experience
  • Experience working around industrial robots or automated equipment
  • Experience using a CMMS maintenance system
