Maintenance Technician

The Role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance of the building, equipment, and its rental properties, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and repair work.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Inspect all building equipment and systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
- Maintain and repair electrical equipment and building electrical systems using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
- Maintain and repair building HVAC systems using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
- Perform maintenance and repair procedures in accordance with facility policy.
- Monitor automated building management system and modify as needed.
- Check emergency power equipment systems according to federal/state/local requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance, scheduled checks as assigned.
- Enter information and maintain all required logs in a neat, organized and timely manner.
- Assist contractors with repairs and inspections.
- Must be able to work flexible hours when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Three (3) years job related experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems is required.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Knowledge of NFPA 99 Health Care Facilities Code a plus.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Basic computer skills.
