SAIC is seeking a highly analytical and holistically minded Systems Engineer to support the Precision Fires program in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will apply critical thinking to all aspects of the system lifecycle within an Agile development environment. You will be instrumental in driving requirements development, technical documentation, and cross-functional integration to ensure mission success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systems Engineering & Analysis: Execute end-to-end systems engineering activities for Precision Fires programs, applying critical thinking to resolve complex, system-of-systems engineering challenges.
- Requirements Management:Â Develop, analyze, and manage existing and new system requirements throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Hands-On DOORS Administration:Â Actively utilize IBM DOORS (9.7.x) to manage requirement data independently. This includes establishing traceability links, creating objects within modules, and exporting Requirement Verification Matrices (RVMs) without reliance on a dedicated DOORS administrator.
- Agile Collaboration:Â Work dynamically within an Agile environment, attending regular scrum meetings and leveraging Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirement tracking and support.
- Cross-Functional Integration:Â Assimilate and align system requirements with other critical functional areas, specifically Software Safety, Test, and Cybersecurity.
- Technical Documentation:Â Author, review, and maintain accurate technical documentation and specifications.
