Job DetailsJob Location: Gasbarre - DuBois, PA 15801Job Shift: SecondGeneral Summary: Responsible for adhering to machine shop schedule for flow of product through shop floor.  Improve machine run times, reduce machine setup times, and assist in product routing as required for optimum efficiency.  Supervise a team of 30-40 Machinists.   Essential Job Functions: Supervises all machine shop employees Workflow output to support strategic initiatives Responsible for ongoing training Responsible for the safety of department employees Provides leadership and direction including coordination between shifts, overtime, and vacations Conducts department meeting to go over production, schedules, orders, etc. Completes employee evaluations (Probationary & Annual) Responsible for disciplinary actions (in conjunction with Human Resources) Determines equipment and tooling needs Manages cost reduction efforts Works closely with the scheduler to meet production goals / deadlines Performs regular duties of a machinist on occasion (running orders, reading blueprints, machine setup, etc.) QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Machining equipment Knowledgeable in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, etc.) Effective Communication Skills Supervisory / Leadership Skills Proficient in measuring equipment (Micrometers, dial indicators, etc.) Understands product routing / process flow   Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED.  7+ years of related experience required.  Formal schooling from a college or trade school with a relevance to machining or machining technology preferred.    Physical Requirements: Lifting a maximum of 40 pounds regularly. This job requires extensive amounts of walking, standing, sitting.
