Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Dover, OH 44622Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: Hourly 12 NightPOSITION(S): Set up Finish Walter Grinders – Standard Product LEVEL OF AUTHORITY:  Associate THIS POSITION REPORTS TO:  Grind Blades Supervisor JOB TITLES REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:  None   ROLE:  Set-up the Finish grinders and teach assistant’s how to set them up.   RESPONSIBILITIES:  Operate and Setup Walter Finish Grind 5-axis grinders on standard product and special items. Perform complete inspections using an optical comparator, contracer, and camera Create part programs on PC stations utilizing blueprints and data files Perform wheel truing on all standard wheel sets, online and offline. Establish wheels on machine for truing, build new wheel stacks. Troubleshoot quality-related issues on the grinders Run production The willingness to follow, and provide, instructions and procedures in a cooperative manner Low absenteeism/tardiness, as determined by management Must be able to access all on-line work instructions. Observe and report all areas that need addressed. Maintain a high quality level as well as a high rate of efficiency. Work in a safe manner at all times. Correct reporting of job transactions. Fill out NCR for blades that do not meet our quality standards Follow inspection plan Proper use and care of micrometers and calipers. Read and understand blueprints. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:  Education High School Graduate or GED equivalent Completed or enrolled in Apprenticeship Program, preferred. Experience One year working knowledge of finish grinding operations, preferred. Experience with micrometers, calipers, and dial indicator gauges One year of CNC equipment set-up, preferred. Must have completed 90-day probationary period. Required Skills Detail oriented, good planning and organizational skills Good at multitasking Basic math skills, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division Minimum Requirements Able to be on feet for 12 hour shifts Able to lift 32 lbs.
