Position Location
This Position is located onsite at Fort Meade, Maryland.Â
Job Overview
The Pulp Equipment Operator will operate automatic material collection and disintegrating system. The Operator will process a variety of materials and will be required to have at least two years of experience operating a variety of material handling equipment. The employee will report to the Warehouse & CMC Supervisor.

Pay Rate 36.09hr
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Receive, sort, and distribute materials to appropriate classified material conversion processing areas (paper, special burn magnetic media). Sign and process all associated material receipt/documentation
- Operate and monitor the Automatic Materiel Collection System (burn bag processing) and conveyor system to include the Wet Vat and AWCS systems.
- Operate paper-pulping and bailing equipment
- Perform cleanout of the pulper as required and package spent material into suitable containers
- May be required to perform escorting duties for off-site destruction
- Load and off load material to include operating a forklift.
- Record and document equipment issues to the operation log that may occur.
- Inspect the equipment to assure operability, availability and overall safety, and cleanliness.
- Perform various duties such as (but not limited to) file, maintenance, workspace cleanup (sweep and hose floors daily) and maintain work space.
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Harmoniously working with other CIS employees and customers.
- Working independently and adhering to established policies and guidelines.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- High school graduate or equivalent GED
- Two (2) years of work experience with Material Handling Equipment.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Ability to perform assigned work tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with basic mathematical functions is required.
- Familiarity with basic computer functions is required
- Ability to pass pre-hire background and drug screen.
- S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain prior to commencing work and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and team lift 75 pounds.
Preferred:
- Experience operating automatic material collection and disintegrating equipment.
