SUMMARY

As a 7 Devils Bar Supervisor, you'll assist in the supervision of the front-of-house bar operations. You'll build on your skills and discover new ones. You'll assist the restaurant manager in training and development the bar team members. At times you will also assist in overseeing all restaurant operations in the absence of the manager and supervisor. You'll work with the team to produce elevated beverage offerings and help create outstanding experiences. You will use the tools and development provided by Tamarack Resort to grow sales and increase profits while you grow and develop both personally and professionally.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Expert knowledge in cocktail preparation, spirits and beer is required. You need to be a passionate leader, who couples humility with a high desire to serve and please. We want passionate individuals who are driven, open to coaching, and are committed to delivering mountain hospitality with personality. Did I mention we are growing? That means we need leaders ready to grow, and go, wherever life takes us. If you have:

• Develop bar training manual for entry level seasonal team members

• Assist manager to develop and cost cocktail recipes ensuring fast and accurate service

• Uphold sanitation practices

• Drive guest service and repeat business

• Ensure all bar POS menu items are programmed correctly and priced consistently across resort venues

• Ensure the bar is well stocked with ingredients to produce all items on the menu to avoid shortages

• Create, modify and institute bartender checklists and ensure bartenders follow procedures on a daily basis

• Guide all bartenders to monitor and avoid guest alcohol over-consumption

• Abide by all Idaho State liquor laws and requirements

• Abide by all Valley County sanitation mandates

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support teams to reach common goals

• Welcome / greet guests and know regular guests by name, preference and needs

• Clearly understand the needs of your guests and be able to provide service at a high level

• Ability/flexibility to work 40 hours per week including mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage train and motivate a diverse employee group

• Knowledge of computers is sufficient to fulfill supervisor functions

• Stable and progressive work history

• Endure extreme variance of weather conditions, and dress accordingly for all conditions

• Lifting heavy objects repeatedly along maintaining the restaurant workspace and guest space

• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets

• Ability to oversee all restaurant operations in the absence of the manager and supervisor. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• 3 years of previous bartending experience in high volume upscale bars + 1 year supervisor experience in full-service restaurants are required for this position

• Team Leader excelling in mentorship and bar staff training

• Expert in cocktail preparation and execution

• Strong general knowledge of spirits and beer

• Intermediate knowledge of wine and ability to market, share tasting notes, and pair with food

• Must enjoy working and interacting with the public

• Must be over 21 years of age

• Education: High School or GED

• Attitude - fresh, optimistic, enthusiastic, and service-laced. This is a hand on operation and must be run that way.

• Aptitude - you need to be able to think quickly on your feet, make smart decisions.

• Adaptability - you won't be successful flying solo- you will be a functioning member of a team, and you need to be willing to lend a helping hand to any teammate at any time.

• Oral and Written comprehension and communication in English (primary)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent walking, standing, and talking on the phone in both noisy and quiet locations

• Important to be able to hear and speak in noisy and quiet surroundings continuously

• Frequent bending, climbing, kneeling squatting, twisting/turning from waist and pushing/pulling objects both with and without wheels

• Will be working with hands and fingers and lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds horizontally and vertically on a regular basis

• Near and far vision as well as good depth perception and color vision are important

• Frequent use of senses. OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS

• Weekend, night and holiday work will be required

• Operation of company vehicles is required.
