JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: COMMUNITY LIAISON (BILINGUAL – SPANISH/ENGLISH)
DEPARTMENT: Community Outreach / Behavioral Health Services
REPORTS TO: Program Manager / Clinical Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
PAY RATE: $17.00 per hour
SIGN-ON BONUS: $500.00 (Payable after successful completion of 30 days of employment)
LOCATION: Community-Based / Office as Needed
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time / Part-Time (TBD)

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Liaison serves as a vital link between Reliant Solutions, Inc. and the community by providing outreach, engagement, and support services. This role requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with diverse populations, assist with translation and interpretation, and ensure access to behavioral health services. The Community Liaison helps build relationships, increase program awareness, and support individuals in accessing appropriate care and resources.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct community outreach to promote agency services and programs
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, families, and service providers
  • Provide accurate Spanish/English translation and interpretation as needed
  • Assist clients with understanding services, forms, and care instructions
  • Support intake processes, referrals, and service coordination
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
  • Participate in community events, health fairs, and outreach initiatives
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards
  • Assist with follow-ups to ensure continuity of care
  • Promote cultural competency and inclusive service delivery

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) – required
  • Prior experience in community outreach, healthcare, or social services preferred but not required
  • Willing to train the right candidate

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
  • Ability to translate and interpret accurately and professionally
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills and ability to document services
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel locally within the community
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Community-based settings, client homes, and office environment
  • Frequent local travel required
  • May require flexible hours, including evenings or weekends

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
  • Background check and compliance with agency policies required
