Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

Job Summary
The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager supports the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring efficient service, well-stocked bar areas, and satisfied guests. This role works closely with the F&B team to supervise shifts, address guest needs, and maintain high standards of service and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service across all outlets
- Supervise and support front-of-house and bar staff during scheduled shifts
- Assist with guest requests and resolve service issues promptly and professionally
- Monitor and maintain bar inventory, ensuring proper stocking levels of beverages and supplies
- Run shift operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff coordination, and service flow management
- Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager to implement operational policies and service standards
- Train and mentor staff on service protocols, guest interaction, and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations throughout all shifts
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food and beverage, restaurant, or hospitality supervisory role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for guest and staff interactions
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of bar operations, inventory management, and beverage service
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
- Prior experience running shifts or managing small teams in an F&B setting
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory tracking tools
- Alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS or equivalent) is a plus
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with POS and reservation systems
- Inventory and stock management
- Staff scheduling and shift coordination
- Basic financial tracking (e.g., cash handling, sales reporting)
- Knowledge of food safety and beverage service standards
