The Finance Analyst, Capital Planning is responsible for supporting capital reporting planning activities through data preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and documentation. This role focuses on building foundational knowledge of capital processes, asset-related reporting, project tracking, and financial controls while providing accurate and timely support to the broader capital planning function.
This role performs work under direct supervision and handles basic issues and problems, referring more complex issues to higher-level staff. Reports to Manager, Capital Planning or a Director, Capital Planning.

What You’ll Do:Â
- Assist with preparation of recurring capital reports, schedules, dashboards, and supporting analytics for Eagle Cap, TPM expansions, and other owner- or project-specific reporting requirements.Â
- Gather, validate, and organize capital budget and forecast inputs from multiple sources to support budget development, forecast updates, and management reporting.Â
- Maintain supporting schedules for capital projects, fixed asset activity, capital commitments, and spend tracking to ensure data is accurate, complete, and current.Â
- Assist with reconciliations for capital accounts, construction-in-progress balances, and other project-related financial activity, escalating discrepancies for review as needed.Â
- Support month-end and period-end capital close processes, including data collection, account analysis, reconciliation preparation, and documentation of capital transactions.Â
- Enter, update, and maintain project and capital data within capital tracking tools, financial systems, and spreadsheets to support accurate reporting and auditability.Â
- Assist with development and project accounting activities, including compiling support for PUD activity, remodel projects, loan draw documentation, and other project-level transactions.Â
- Support insurance and casualty claim accounting by tracking activity, maintaining claim documentation, and assisting with reconciliations and reporting.Â
- Review M&R and capital spend data for completeness and reasonableness, helping identify coding inconsistencies, missing support, or classification issues.Â
- Prepare standard variance reports and basic explanations comparing budget, forecast, and actual capital spend for assigned areas.Â
- Respond to ad hoc data requests, reporting needs, and project support assignments with attention to quality, timeliness, and documentation standards.Â
- Document processes, assumptions, and reporting steps to support consistency, internal controls, and knowledge transfer across the team.Â
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:
- Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, or a related field; or equivalent years of experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, strategic finance, accounting, or other related financial roles.Â
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work accurately with detailed financial data.Â
- Working knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis concepts.Â
- Proficiency with Excel, financial systems, and analytical tools such as spreadsheets, reporting platforms, or planning systems.Â
- Demonstrated attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in a deadline-driven environment.Â
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for status updates, documentation, and issue escalation.Â
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate professional judgment, discretion, and willingness to learn.Â
- Possess beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
