We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to join our growing Corporate Credit Card delivery team, which provides technology solutions and integration services in following areas: Corporate Credit Cards, Credit Card Risk Underwriting, Credit Card Portfolio Management, and Merchant Services. Â

The ideal candidate is a seasoned software developer with a history of operating in large enterprise environment who has designed and led implementation of medium to large sized systems. Banking experience is preferred, but not necessary. This individual would have tangible examples of how they have led development teams to successful deployments, coached and mentored senior developers, and have driven an enterprise level design of a system(s). They will also be able to clearly communicate and express complex ideas not only with tech leads and team members, but also business product owners, as well as external teams, while establishing a working relationship built on trust through delivery.Â
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business and architects to design and develop technical solutions that meet user needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.Â
- Lead multiple tech leads who oversee SCRUM teams within the domain providing coaching, and an escalation path for troubleshootingÂ
- Drives domain wide change initiatives improving quality, speed, and throughput of the shopÂ
- Oversee proactive maintenance on our existing Iaas/SaaS and on premise applications within the Digital, Cards, Risk, and Merchant Services to ensure our mission critical systems remain stable, are able to scale as our business grows, and remain fit-for-purpose.Â
- Coordinate and assist with troubleshooting of code defects, data errors and configuration problems to determine the origin of application error.Â
- Know how to support Business critical/ complex applications.Â
- Exercises Judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.Â
- Drive departmental best practices, guidelines implementation and adhere to standards.Â
- Show expertise in designing and developing real-time integrations, file-based integrations and be able to optimize the use of database level processing. Â
- Demonstrate empathy with developer and poses an innate desire to create a superlative developer experience down to the last detail.Â
- Have a deep love of building elegant, maintainable, well-documented, secure code.Â
- Always work to improve oneself and constructively support the team around them.Â

Minimum Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 3+ Years of experience.Â
- Intermediate to Strong experience designing or modifying modern microservice based systemsÂ
- Advanced interpersonal skills including communication and negotiationÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Java 11+Â
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Standard Design Patterns such as Factories, Command, Facade, Adapter, and more.Â
- Advanced knowledge and experience with OOD/OOAÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworksÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with REST and APIsÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Unit Test and Mocking frameworksÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with gitÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with PostmanÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Docker and KubernetesÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Scrum and AgileÂ
- Advanced knowledge and experience with wikisÂ

If hired in New York, the base pay for this position is generally between $117,000 and $135,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
