About the Job

Mindful Sprouts is hiring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) for a meaningful opportunity to help children with exceptionalities achieve their goals. As an RBT, you will provide consistent, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in clinic, home, and school environments under the direction and supervision of a BCBA.

This role is a great fit for someone who genuinely cares about children's well-being, takes feedback well, and can adapt their approach to meet each child's individual needs. Our strongest RBTs are compassionate and client-centered, coachable, and adaptable. You will work closely with BCBAs, caregivers, teachers, and other members of the care team to support positive outcomes for each client.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy based on individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement behavior intervention and skill-acquisition programs supporting communication, social, academic, self-help, and daily living skills.
  • Adapt your approach, activities, communication style, and interaction based on the individual needs of each child.
  • Collect, record, and maintain accurate session data on client behaviors, progress, and treatment outcomes.
  • Write clear, objective session notes documenting interventions, progress, and outcomes.
  • Use evidence-based techniques to reduce challenging behaviors and teach appropriate replacement behaviors.
  • Prepare and maintain a safe, organized, and engaging treatment environment.
  • Communicate client progress, concerns, and incidents promptly to the supervising BCBA.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, teachers, and other members of the care team to maintain consistency across settings.
  • Implement treatment procedures consistently across different environments to promote skill generalization and positive client outcomes.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, competency assessments, and ongoing training.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled sessions, meetings, trainings, and other responsibilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Medicaid Provider Number preferred. If you do not currently have one, you must be willing to complete the Medicaid enrollment process as required by Mindful Sprouts.
  • Active RBT certification, or willingness and ability to complete the required 40-hour RBT training and pass the RBT examination.
  • Must speak English.
  • Prior experience working with children preferred.
  • Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance, client confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
  • Ability to pass a background check and required pre-employment screenings.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes, schools, and/or clinic locations.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, sit on the floor, and remain physically active throughout therapy sessions.
  • Flexible availability, including afternoons and weekends as needed.
  • Willingness to complete required competency assessments and continuing education to maintain RBT certification in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Broward County and/or Palm Beach County badge/credential preferred.
  • Active RBT certification at the time of hire.
  • Prior ABA experience or experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disabilities.
  • Prior experience collecting and recording session data.
  • Experience writing clear, objective session notes.
  • Knowledge of behavior intervention and skill-acquisition strategies.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Bilingual communication skills, particularly Spanish, Portuguese, or Creole.
