As a Claims Professional II, you will play a key role in investigating, evaluating and resolving liability insurance claims, ensuring strategic case management and effective resolutions. This role requires problem-solving skills, the ability to analyze liability, damages and coverage, and the expertise to develop and implement resolution strategies that may involve litigation management, risk transfer, and mediation. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates anywhere in the United States, providing flexibility while working within a high-performing national team.Â
Responsibilities
- Investigate claims, develop and execute upon resolution strategies, which may include pursuit of risk transfer, mediation, and management of litigation.
- Assess coverage obligations including analyzing policy language to recommend and prepare written coverage determinations. Partners with coverage counsel, as applicable.
- Set and manage timely and adequate reserves considering coverage, liability, and damages.
- Manage and coordinate litigation by hiring defense counsel and required experts, review of draft pleadings, litigation plans, budgets, and invoices.
- Document all contacts, communications, claim transactions, and otherwise maintain electronic claim files.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by managing all aspects of the claim, interacting professionally and effectively with insureds, claimants and business partners.
- Provide timely updates and respond promptly to inquiries and requests for information.
- Move claims to closure and proactive claim handling and by collaborating with internal and external business partners, as appropriate, to develop, own, and execute a claim resolution strategy.
- Keep leadership informed of significant risks and losses by projecting exposure and completing loss summaries and similar reporting.
- Prepare and present claim status and evaluation to leadership.
- Maintain subject matter expertise and ensure compliance with state/local regulatory requirements.
- Prepare reports to management, clients, and other designated recipients- strong writing skills required.
- May participate in mediations and court proceedings while seeking reasoned claim resolutions. Some travel may be required. Â
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience handling insurance claims, with a preference for cyber exposures and general liability insurance claims, with a strong understanding of coverage and claims management practices.
- Undergraduate Degree or Paralegal Certificate
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)
- Independent adjuster licenses

What we offer
The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000 per year. This role is also bonus eligible.
