The Role As a Clinical Trainer I, you will play a key role in developing and supporting clinical staff across Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region. You'll create engaging learning experiences that equip new and existing team members with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to deliver exceptional patient care. Working across departments and health center locations, you'll help ensure training programs are effective, consistent, compliant, and aligned with PPSWO's standards of care. What You'll Do Training & Development Facilitate clinical onboarding and orientation for new staff. Deliver training for Patient Access and Clinical Support team members in Family Planning and Surgery services. Support cross-training initiatives and annual competency assessments. Assist with curriculum development, training materials, and program evaluation. Ensure training remains aligned with clinical standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. Clinical Training & Support Train staff on reproductive and sexual healthcare services, including: Contraceptive methods STI testing and treatment HIV and PrEP services Gender-affirming care Recovery room procedures Phlebotomy and venipuncture Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Sterile technique and infection prevention Coaching & Mentorship Serve as a mentor and clinical resource for new and existing staff. Provide coaching and feedback to support growth and development. Partner with leaders to identify learning opportunities and promote clinical excellence. Front Office Training Train staff on: Patient registration and scheduling processes Insurance verification Medical records procedures Patient communication and customer service standards Referral and follow-up processes Point-of-sale and donation procedures Back Office Training Train staff on: Vital signs and patient intake Injections and blood draws Laboratory procedures and specimen handling OSHA and CLIA requirements Informed consent processes Quality assurance protocols Inventory management and clinical workflows Affiliate Support Travel to health center locations to provide training, coaching, evaluation, and clinical support as needed. Are comfortable using electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications. Hold a current CPR/BLS certification. Can travel between health center locations as needed. Are available to work occasional evenings and Saturdays. Bonus Points If You... Have a degree in a healthcare-related field. Have experience in reproductive healthcare, family planning, or outpatient clinical settings. Have curriculum development or adult learning experience. Are bilingual in English and Spanish. Have experience supporting workforce development or quality improvement initiatives. What to Expect: Work Environment This role combines classroom-style instruction, hands-on clinical training, one-on-one coaching, and travel between health center locations. You'll: Work directly with new and experienced staff across multiple departments. Provide training in both office and clinical settings. Regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and move training materials. Be exposed to clinical environments that may include bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, cleaning agents, and medical equipment. Occasionally lift and move materials up to 25 pounds.
