Job Summary

  • Process the receipt, identification, handling, storage, packing, and shipping of materials. Assist other departments with their shipping requirements.   

Job Details/Responsibilities

•    Receive incoming packages from freight carriers.
•    Verify content of packages agrees with the packing slip.
•    Contact suppliers and resolve packing slip problems.
•    Process purchase order receiving documentation.
•    Enter information in SAP.
•    Segregate and identify material.
•    Assign lot numbers.
•    Schedule receiving inspection priorities.
•    Move materials to storage location.
•    Prepare containers to hold material.
•    Identify containers with part numbers.
•    Clean containers.
•    Replenish inventory for manufacturing.
•    Packing materials into shipping containers.
•    Verify product shipping matches packing slip.
•    Confirmation of shipments to customers.
•    Preparation of shipping waybills.

Job Responsibilities (continued)

•    Assist other departments with boxing, preparation of waybills and shipments.
•    Ensure compliance to quality system requirements for areas of responsibility.
•    Maintain records of applicable documentation.
•    Complete daily cycle counting in the warehouse timely.
•    Assist with plant facilities and maintenance as needed.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

QUALITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Maintain awareness of the relevance and importance of activities performed and how they contribute to the achievement of quality objectives. 
  • Work within the QMS always, ensure accurate completion of records and highlight issues to immediate supervisor any issues affecting quality.  
  • Responsible to ensure facility, processes and documentation remain in a state of audit readiness at all times.

EH&S REQUIREMENTS

  • Take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions.
  • Work co-operatively to highlight issues affecting Environmental Health and Safety.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

  • Written and verbal communication ability
  • Proficient in software applications (SAP)
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel to perform basic word processing and inventory spreadsheet reports
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented
  • Ability to prioritize work schedules and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Basic math and ability to use a calculator
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

  • Able to work overtime
  • Able to handle closed containers of adhesive and chemicals
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years in a regulated industry (FDA, DOD, FAA, etc.)
