This role ensures materials are accurate, available on time, and meet quality standards before reaching the job site. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and skilled at coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to keep projects on schedule. Key Responsibilities Plant Ordering & Management Place and manage plant orders using POS software and Eagle Browser. Submit orders for wholesale fulfillment at least two weeks before installation. Update orders as project changes or substitutions arise. Maintain accurate order records and assign orders to jobs and schedules. Inventory & Quality Control Identify, tag, and verify plant materials in nursery inventory. Ensure plants are pulled, staged, and ready for installation. Inspect plant quality and confirm order accuracy. Uphold our quality standard: "If you wouldn't plant it at your own home, do not send it out." Communication & Coordination Partner with Wholesale, Horticultural Supply, and Retail teams to ensure timely fulfillment. Communicate plant availability, substitutions, and updates to landscape designers. Coordinate transfers and resolve fulfillment issues. Plant Sourcing & Substitutions Recommend suitable alternatives when requested plants are unavailable. Ensure substitutions meet project specifications and size requirements. Obtain approvals for upsized substitutions when needed. Source materials from local nurseries and coordinate inventory transfers. Operational Support Monitor inventory levels and availability. Anticipate shortages and identify alternative sourcing solutions. Proactively support project timelines and installation readiness. QualificationsRequired Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Preferred Experience with inventory management systems or POS software. Knowledge of plant materials, including trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals.
