Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant (CNA)

Enterhealth Outpatient – Dallas, TX
Full-Time

Be the welcoming face of care.

Are you someone who loves working with people, thrives in a busy medical office, and enjoys a role where no two days are the same?

Enterhealth is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and highly organized Front Desk Coordinator / Medical Assistant to join our Outpatient team.

This isn't a position where you'll spend your entire day behind a desk. We're looking for someone who enjoys the best of both worlds-creating an exceptional experience for patients at the front desk while also using their healthcare background to support our medical team.

The right person is warm, dependable, professional, and comfortable jumping in wherever needed. If you enjoy getting to know your patients, helping a medical office run smoothly, and being part of a team that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives, we would love to meet you.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll help keep our outpatient office welcoming, organized, and moving throughout the day. Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome patients and visitors with warmth, professionalism and discretion.
  • Check patients in and out and assist with the overall patient experience.
  • Answer and route telephone calls and respond appropriately to patient questions.
  • Coordinate appointments, scheduling, cancellations and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate patient demographic and registration information.
  • Assist the medical team with appropriate clinical support within your training and scope.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information as assigned.
  • Prepare patients and rooms for appointments.
  • Assist with specimen collection and testing when appropriately trained and authorized.
  • Maintain clean, organized and properly stocked patient-care areas.
  • Help maintain medical and office supplies and notify the appropriate team member when items need to be reordered.
  • Accurately document assigned information in the patient's medical record.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements at all times.
  • Communicate closely with providers, nursing, therapists and other members of the outpatient team.
  • Recognize when a patient concern needs to be immediately brought to the attention of a clinical or medical team member.
  • Help us create an environment where every patient feels welcomed, respected and cared for.

Enterhealth's existing outpatient standards emphasize calm, respectful and trauma-informed interactions with patients and families, along with strong privacy and professional-boundary expectations.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Previous medical office, physician practice, clinic or outpatient healthcare experience
  • Experience working directly with patients
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers and electronic medical records
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Dependable, organized and able to manage multiple priorities

We'd especially love to meet you if you have experience with:

  • Taking vital signs
  • Patient intake
  • Medical office scheduling
  • Electronic medical records
  • Specimen collection
  • Drug-screen collection/testing
  • Phlebotomy
  • Behavioral health, mental health or addiction-treatment services

Your Schedule

This is a full-time position with a varied weekday schedule designed around the needs of our outpatient patients.

Two days per week: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Remaining weekdays: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Applicants should be comfortable working both the regular daytime and two extended-day shifts.

Why Enterhealth?

At Enterhealth, you won't simply be answering phones or checking boxes on a task list. You'll become part of a multidisciplinary team working together to support individuals and families through addiction recovery and mental health treatment.

We're looking for someone who wants to know our patients, support our team and take pride in making the office run beautifully.

If you're a CNA or MA with medical-office experience who loves helping people and wants a position that combines patient interaction, medical support and front-office coordination, we'd love to hear from you.

Come grow with Enterhealth.
