Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, dependable Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the safety, appearance, and day-to-day operation of our facilities. In this hands-on role, you will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building systems and structures across multiple locations. Your work will include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, general cleaning, remodeling, and new-construction support.

If you are a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, stays organized, and can manage changing priorities, this is an opportunity to make a visible impact on the experience of employees and members.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Diagnose and repair faulty equipment, damaged structures, and building components.
  • Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to support safe, reliable operation.
  • Develop, perform, and document preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Plan and schedule repairs, routine service calls, and branch maintenance activities.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks to confirm that equipment and systems meet established standards.
  • Perform general maintenance, including carpentry, painting, landscaping, and other assigned tasks.
  • Support branch remodels, facility upgrades, and new-construction projects.
  • Maintain accurate records for equipment, supplies, inspections, repairs, and completed work.
  • Assist with maintenance budget planning and responsible use of materials and resources.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building-maintenance practices.
  • Technical training or certification in HVAC, electrical work, building maintenance technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Work Requirements

  • Daily travel to branch locations is required.
  • Ability to perform the physical demands associated with facilities maintenance work.
  • Availability to work overtime, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, when operational needs require.

Why This Role Matters

Your work helps create facilities that are safe, functional, welcoming, and prepared to support the organization’s daily operations. You will contribute both through responsive repairs and through preventive maintenance that helps reduce disruptions and extend the useful life of building systems and equipment.
