Job Overview

The Engineering/Technical Co-Op supports the Business Unit's growth initiatives through demand forecast reporting capabilities and lead management. This position works closely with Product Management, Customer Service, and Engineering to identify business opportunities, analyze custom design lifecycles, perform due diligence for lost orders with assigned designs.

A primary responsibility of this role is leveraging historical quotes with engineering designs which were not converted to sales and identify lead capture for growth potential. Another priority is to assist engineering with design review BOM times, operational capacity and drive efficiency in process.  This position offers valuable exposure to product management, business analytics and demand forecasting within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

A Day In The Life

  • Analyze historical sales, customer quotes, and order data to identify potential leads.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on custom design lifecycle and validate BOM times
  • Review Engineering and Sales processes to assist in automation for efficiency.
  • Support Product Managers with business analysis, forecasting, and portfolio management activities.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service teams and engineering to identify conversion losses and potential leads
  • Help maintain and organize customer, demand forecast and engineered design databases.
  • Assist with change management, data validation, and other projects related to the company's SAP ERP transition.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI preferred.
  • Experience working with large data sets and business reporting tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Math, Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering Management, or a related field.
  • Prior internship, co-op, or project experience involving analytics, marketing, or business analysis is preferred.
