Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be enjoy a customer facing role, problem solving, finding new ways to educate clients on ways to keep their vehicles in good shape, and a multi-tasker. This person is capable of doing a wide variety of tasks, really enjoying the change of pace and types of job responsibilities each day, so certainly someone who loves change.
Essential Responsibilities:
Customer Intake & Consultation: Greet customers, document exact vehicle symptoms or requests, and perform initial walk-around vehicle inspections.
Efficient Scheduling: Help manage the shop's appointment calendar to ensure all service bays maintain a constant, steady workflow without excessive customer wait times.
Tire & Service Consultation: Educate customers on tire options, fitment, treadwear patterns, and necessary maintenance (e.g., alignments, brake service, fluid flushes).
Estimating & Sales: Create accurate estimates, check parts availability with local distributors, and present repair recommendations to customers clearly and transparently.
Progress Tracking: Provide regular text or phone updates to clients regarding their vehicle’s status, additional technician findings, and revised completion times.
Administrative Closeout: Process invoices, collect payments, handle cash drawer, and help manage tire inventory counts or warranty registration paperwork.
Key Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years in automotive service writing, tire sales, or retail service advisor environments preferred.
Communication: Ability to translate technical automotive terms into simple, universal concepts that customers understand easily. Speak/read English fluently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Technology: Proficiency with AutoServe software and multi-line phone systems.
Local Adaptation: Familiarity with seasonal driving issues, including rust, pothole-related suspension damage, and switching to winter tires.
Valid Driver’s License, ability to work in a fast paced environment

Education:
High school diploma/GED is required.
