You’re comfortable washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment and workspaces, and supporting kitchen staff as needed. You enjoy working as part of a team and contributing to a clean, efficient operation.

What You’ll Do
- Collect used kitchenware, utensils, and dishes from dining and kitchen areas in a timely manner
- Load, operate, and unload dishwashing machines safely and efficiently
- Wash large or delicate items by hand as needed (e.g., rice pots, oversized cookware, specialty glassware)
- Ensure clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly sanitized, organized, and stocked to support smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and promptly notify a supervisor when stock is low
- Inspect and report any issues with dishwashing equipment or kitchen sanitation concerns
- Remove garbage, recyclables, and compost in accordance with company procedures and OSHA standards
- Clean and sanitize designated kitchen areas, storage spaces, and restrooms as assigned, following OSHA, local health department, and company guidelines
- Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation procedures, including proper chemical handling, labeling, and PPE use
- Support kitchen staff during peak service times by anticipating needs and communicating proactively

Requirements
What You Bring
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout an 8+ hour shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, steam, and wet conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Food Handler's Card required (or willing to obtain within first 14 days of employment)
- Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required
The Physical Stuff
- Standing for long periods in hot, humid conditions.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, including racks, trays, buckets, and boxes.
- Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Working in close proximity to steam, chemicals, and sharp objects.
- Moving quickly in confined spaces with wet floors.
- Non-slip footwear and required PPE must be worn at all times.
