Job DetailsJob Location: KY Central Office - Covington, KY 41011Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 Salary/yearDefinition and Primary Objective:   To exhibit the core knowledge and competencies required to provide birth to five coaching, training, and oversight of professional development experiences for the early care and education workforce.   Reporting Relationships: Reports to: VP of Quality   Primary Responsibilities:       Coaching for Classroom Management and Early Learning Oversight Understand Constructivism and the Learning Grove Philosophy on how young children learn   Observe and consult with teachers on how to manage safe and healthy learning environments for children with appropriate arrangement of materials, space, and supplies. Observe and consult with teachers to manage a classroom of children including a daily schedule and transition times that encourages a child’s learning through discovery, curiosity, creativity, and a healthy self-concept that leads to school readiness. Understand and coach quality content area components (Child Growth and Development, Family and Community Relations, Health, Safety, & Nutrition, Child Observation and Assessment, Professional Development, Learning Experiences and Environments), as defined by Learning Grove and SUTQ/STARS/National Accreditation. Guide teachers with planning and implementing the quality curriculum in a manner that supports the intellectual, social-emotional, physical, and language development of each child enrolled in his or her classroom. Understand and coach on developing lesson plans that incorporate the Kentucky and /or Ohio Early Learning Standards in a timely manner. Analyze and coach on the utilization of assessment information on children to implement learning plans to advance a child’s development. Observe and consult with teachers on best practices and positive discipline techniques with children, to support children’s growth and understanding of self and others, and promote resilience. Oversee observation and referral systems for children in need of individual classroom management strategies and/or outside services     Training and Professional Development Develop and disseminate internal training opportunities for teachers and newly hired staff to include the following: Child Development Early Childhood Ethics Constructivism Classroom Environments Developmentally Appropriate Practice Social and Emotional Development Kindergarten Readiness Working with Families           Internal and External Collaboration Be familiar with and abide by Learning Grove’s Vision, Mission, and Beliefs. Be familiar with and abide by Learning Grove’s Code of Ethics. Uphold all standards and policies set forth by Learning Grove. Maintain confidential information about the program, families, children, staff and the agency, at all times. Maintain and demonstrate professionalism in the workplace and in the community. Show initiative for continued professional growth and skills development. Maintain positive relationships with children, families and co-workers. Model the attributes of acceptance of diversity, nurturing behavior, cooperation, respect, and responsiveness. Maintain a positive attitude and be a team player. Personal Professional Development Responsible for obtaining required training hours and maintaining educational credentials. Demonstrate knowledge of and agreement to abide by state licensing mandates and SUTQ/STARS. Report for assigned work hours on time and prepared for assigned responsibilities. Relate to all families, staff, and community partners in a positive manner Other duties as assigned   QualificationsMinimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:   Ability to read, speak, and write English Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education. Thorough knowledge of a developmental constructivist philosophy, approaches to implement strategies in a classroom and the ability to transfer that knowledge to others. Experience teaching young children and adults. Prior experience working with young children commensurate to responsibilities Completion of State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers or Current First Aid/CPR Certification Successful clearance of required Criminal Background Checks Compliance with licensing requirement for TB testing No physical or mental/emotional limitations that would prevent the implementation of caring for and safe- keeping of infants through school age children     Physical demands: The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
