Job DetailsJob Location: Nespelem - Nespelem, WA 99155Salary Range: $28.32 - $34.50 HourlyCLOSING DATE:     September 17, 2026 POSITION:               Medical Assistant (Certified) SALARY:                   $28.32- $34.50/hourly REPORTS TO:        Director of Nursing LOCATION:              Nespelem Clinic, Nespelem WA This is a Safety Sensitive position which requires thorough background checks and drug testing. The Medical Assistant (Certified) for the Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority provides responsive, high quality health care services that meet the needs of all users at their assigned location. The Medical Assistant (Certified) will perform their job duties in a professional manner while assuring that all the needs of the patients are met with a pleasant demeanor. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar. HIPAA and Privacy training within 90 days of employment. Blood borne pathogen training annually. CPR/First Aid within initial 90 (ninety) days of hire. Basic Life Saving (BLS) is required. Ability to understand, speak, communicate and read the English language. Ability to perform basic math skills to calculate dosages of medicine. Ability to utilize EHR proficiently. Requires ability to utilize a multi-line telephone with good telephone etiquette. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Well-developed human relation skills to convey technical concepts to others and to give instructions. Ability to communicate technical information and to interact with a wide variety of groups and individuals inside and outside the organization. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work processes in a high-volume environment in order to meet schedules and timelines. Ability to analyze data from multiple information ports by comparing and contrasting data to draw a conclusion or to identify trends. Ability to communicate professionally in written, verbal, and non-verbal format while portraying a friendly tone, word choice, and body language. Ability to take initiative and be proactive in the duties of the position in order to meet mandated deadlines and to comply with goals and objectives. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable. Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing.
