About the Role:

A CNC Machinist plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating the CNC machines to produce precision parts. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of technical/engineering drawings and specifications to ensure that all products meet quality standards. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up machines, selecting appropriate tools, and making necessary adjustments to optimize production efficiency. Additionally, this role involves conducting regular maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safety in the workplace. Ultimately, the CNC Machinist contributes significantly to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and quality control standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in CNC machining or related field.
  • Experience with multiple types of CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills).
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and production schedules.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate tools and materials for each job and make adjustments as needed.
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
