Join our Team as a Training and Communications Specialist – Emissions Compliance!

 

The Role:

We are seeking an organized and collaborative Training and Communications Specialist to support our Emissions Compliance Training Program. In this role, you will coordinate training activities, manage program data and documentation, develop employee communications, and help ensure training requirements are completed accurately and on time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex programs, working with data, and collaborating across teams. You’ll partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders across TMHNA while gaining exposure to regulatory compliance, training operations, reporting, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning compliance training, including scheduling, attendance tracking, communications, and follow-up.
  • Maintain training records, audience assignments, calendars, databases, and compliance documentation to ensure information remains accurate and complete.
  • Track training completion and analyze program data to identify trends, gaps, overdue assignments, and required follow-up actions.
  • Develop recurring reports, dashboards, KPIs, and other metrics to provide visibility into training and compliance activities.
  • Draft and distribute training communications, announcements, reminders, newsletters, and other employee-facing materials.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to maintain and update training materials, presentations, eLearning content, and related resources.
  • Support Learning Management System administration, including course assignments, reporting, user administration, and training records.
  • Contribute to Microsoft Power BI dashboards and other reporting tools used to monitor training and compliance metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve training administration, reporting, documentation, communications, and data management processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Educational Technology, Human Resources, Business Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 1 + years of experience in training administration, communications, learning and development, project coordination, compliance, data analytics, or a related area.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience organizing, validating, interpreting, and reporting data.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance, manufacturing, industrial equipment, automotive, or environmental programs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Power BI, data visualization, or dashboard development.
  • Experience facilitating instructor-led or virtual training.
  • Experience administering or supporting a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, instructional design, or process improvement.

Where and When You’ll Work:

  • This is an in-person role located at our Columbus, IN office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
  • Approximately 10% travel to be anticipated.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary - $50,980 - $65,358 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
