Summary


The therapist provides high quality individual, group, and family therapy for young adults participating in the agency transitional living program. Supports clinical decision-making and staff training in a variety of agency settings. Provides on-site assessments, counseling sessions, group sessions, and/or clinical support and consultation as an essential job function. 



Essential Responsibilities


  • Provides individual and family counseling to young people and their families; provides group therapy to young people in transitional living program.
  • Conducts clinical assessments of youth for entry into the counseling and/or housing programs.
  • Provides clinical support to housing programs and consultation on cases to agency staff as needed.
  • Fully documents assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and case notes according to agency and professional standards.
  • Provides training and education for Huckleberry House staff as needed on mental health diagnoses, interventions, and clinical indications for provision of services.
  • Maintains required caseload and meets established productivity standards.
  • Attends weekly individual and group supervision, team meetings as assigned by the clinical supervisor and required agency meetings.
  • Ensure timely, accurate completion of all documentation.
  • Serves on an agency committee.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Comfort providing clinical leadership within treatment teams

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related clinical field
  • LSW, LISW, LPC, or LPCC required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with youth; 1 year with families preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency and strong data entry skills
  • Ability to show empathy and build rapport with youth
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently
