About the Role:
The Compliance Audit Specialist reports directly to the Sr. Compliance Officer and provides primary day-to-day support in the preparation, coordination, and completion of compliance audits. This role also serves as a primary point of contact for customers regarding compliance reviews, providing clear guidance on findings, requirements, and next steps. On an as-needed basis, this position may also provide support for other compliance projects and initiatives through the Sr. Compliance Officer, VP Compliance & Audit, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, and other Compliance Officers, and perform additional compliance-related tasks as assigned.

This position operates remotely with flexibility, requiring occasional in-person attendance for key meetings and collaborations as determined by leadership.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist Sr. Compliance Officer with preparation, scheduling, and completion of internal and external compliance audits
- Track audit requests, deadlines, and outstanding items to ensure timely completion of compliance audits
- Gather, organize, and validate documentation and information requested during compliance audits
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding compliance audits and reviews, explaining findings, requirements (regulatory and contractual), and required next steps in clear, professional terms
- Coordinate with customers, using multiple communication methods, to collect requested documentation, respond to inquiries, and help resolve compliance audit or review issues
- Coordinate with the Concierge department if result of compliance review dictates additional customer accounts or account/product training.
- Manage and distribute incoming compliance correspondence related to audits and customer compliance reviews
- Support Compliance Hotline by tracking and assisting with investigations of potential violations
- Perform assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Communicate compliance issues to appropriate management immediately
- Maintain and secure sensitive compliance-related documents
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency of audit support and customer compliance review activities
- Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe
- Exceptionally organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly explain complex compliance requirements to diverse audiences, including customers
- Proven discretion and strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
- Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools and emerging technologies

What Can Set You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited institution preferred
- Knowledge of FCRA, GLBA, and other financial services regulations
- Experience in compliance role within financial services or credit reporting industry, including supporting audits or compliance reviews
- Experience developing and maintaining compliance documentation including policies, procedures, and guidance documents
- Familiarity with Archer GRC platform or similar compliance management systems
