Collections Management Assistant 1

Arts and Sciences | Arabidopsis Biological Resource Center

Supports the growth of new plant material received as part of the collection, including planting, maintenance, harvesting, and preparing seeds stocks for storage. Engages in testing the quality of newly-grown material, including microscopy and germination tests. Assist in the process of preparation of user orders, including pulling/returning stocks to cold room, aliquoting seeds, and packaging orders. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Word required. Will be working in a greenhouse which can be warm and dusty at times. Some work will require that you spend a short period of time in a cold room that is between 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit.

Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED.

Desired: One year of relevant plant care experience.
