Shipping Material Handler (50840)

Job DetailsJob Location: COLUMBIA CITY, IN 46725• Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments from and to the warehouse. • Prepare shipping documents, mailing labels, and ensure that all orders and withdrawal requests from the warehouse are correctly fulfilled. • Packs and / or unpacks materials as required. • Consolidate shipping orders, posts weights, and shipping charges and affixes postage. • Reconcile waybill, bill of lading with bill of materials, and actual shipment arrivals. • Ensure that all goods delivered to the warehouse are in accordance with approved orders and the associated bill of lading or invoice. • Perform the unpacking of consolidated shipment deliveries and distribute contents to the right location. • Accomplish daily goods movement flow. • Maintain inventory management system to ensure that actual physical inventory matches the logical inventory. • Routes production items to the correct location. • Maintain one full day ahead of ship plan. • Lead and communicate with Wash Employee. • Coordinates with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. • Operates lift truck or hand truck to move or hoist materials.QualificationsExcellent understanding of shipping & receiving procedures. • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. • Attention to detail. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently. • Must be available to work flexible hours and on-call hours as required. • Must be able to work independently as well as interact skillfully with delivery persons, customers, employees, and suppliers. • Requires standing. • Requires repetitive movement. • Required to walk; use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, or tools. • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
