Required Competencies:

 

·       Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical and fault-find logically, independently, and under pressure.

·       Ability to work with little supervision in a calm and diligent manner.

·       Demonstrates    a    sense    of    urgency,    when required,             to   meet      demands          of company needs.

·       Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment. Establishes and maintains proper business relations with suppliers, customers and peers.

·       Excellent planning, organization and analytical skills.

·       Physical demands of manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 55 pounds on a routine basis.

·       Strong mechanical and electro-mechanical aptitude with hands-on build capability.

·       Ability to manage multiple development cycles and shifting priorities while maintaining documentation discipline.

·       Practical understanding of design controls, validation, and regulated manufacturing environments.

·       Comfortable operating both as an individual contributor and as a cross-functional technical leader.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related Technical field, or currently attending classes to obtain related technical degree.

·       Strong competency in instrument systems technology to include mechanical, electrical, fluidic, and pneumatic systems.

·       Proficient in the use Microsoft Office Suite- Project, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

·       Experience with machine design and development of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or other precision assembly systems.

·       Hands-on machine shop experience (drill press, lathe, milling, etc.) (desirable).

·       Hands-on work in CAD 3D engineering software i.e. SolidWorks (desirable).

·       Previous experience in building and validating new equipment.

·       Experience with statistics to support validations, create DOEs, and SPC for process stability.

 

 


 

 

Physical Requirements:

·       Sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer.

·       Stand and walk for prolonged periods within a production environment.

·       Frequently use hands and fingers to operate computers, testing equipment, tools and instruments.

·       Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb stairs or ladders as needed.

·       Lift, carry, push, and pull materials, products, and equipment up to 25 pounds unassisted and 50 pounds assisted.

·       Conduct visual inspections of products, components, prototypes, and manufacturing processes.

·       Distinguish colors, measurements, and product specifications when necessary for quality and testing requirements.

·       Exposure to manufacturing equipment and moving mechanical parts.

·       Exposure to moderate noise levels in production areas.

·       Required to use PPE in production areas.

·       Ability to comply with all safety policies.
