The Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York Council is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our Membership and Community Engagement team. If you're passionate about our mission and love talking about the impact of being a Girl Scout, this role is for you!

About the Role:
This role recruits girl members within a defined region and builds and maintains partnerships with volunteers and community programs in that area. Day-to-day, this means:
  • Driving new member recruitment and retention for existing members through localized initiatives, such as school outreach and hosting community events, presentations, and targeted campaigns.
  • Maintaining an active outreach and recruitment pipeline, ensuring consistent lead entry into our CRM system, following up with prospects, and clearly handing off to our Operations team for placement
  • Working with Service Units, troop volunteers, caregivers, and members to strengthen program participation and improve the member and volunteer experience.
  • Provide timely guidance, coaching, and problem-solving support to current and prospective volunteers to strengthen onboarding, retention, and positive volunteer experiences.
About You:
The ideal candidate thrives on connections with new and prospective members, their caregivers, and our adult volunteers. This will occur on-site at evening and weekend events during our member recruitment season (Fall / Winter), and through community engagement activities year-round.

Additionally, we look for candidates with the following experience and required qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in outreach, recruitment, sales, membership growth, or similar roles.
  • Prior engagement with youth demographic and regional areas preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using a CRM or comparable system to manage leads and track progress.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, particularly during recruitment season, is required.
  • Willingness to work in the field up to three days per week and in the office twice weekly.
  • A clean driving record and reliable transportation are required.
