About the Role:
Furniture Mart is looking for a hardworking and dependable Stockroom Associate to join our team in Houma, LA! This is a great opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic retail furniture environment where your behind-the-scenes efforts directly impact the customer experience. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming furniture shipments and inventory deliveries
- Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient stockroom and showroom
- Pull and stage furniture orders for customer pickup and floor display
- Assist sales floor staff as needed
- Safely operate hand trucks, dollies, and other material handling equipment
- Assemble furniture pieces as needed for floor displays or customer orders
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (up to 75 lbs or more)
- Previous stockroom, warehouse, or retail experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
