This Aircraft Mechanic 2 is a PBMF quality control technical inspector for MH-60/MH-47/MH-6 aircraft.


Responsibilities

  • Inspects and accepts maintenance performed and completes all aircraft historical records processes in ACN and MCDS.
  • Coordinates for government quality assurance acceptance of critical safety items.
  • Conducts aircraft inventories, weight and balance activities, tracks defective work in the phase bay.
  • Submits aircraft historical records for government review upon completion of maintenance.
  • Conducts post-maintenance and end-of-shift tool inventories.
  • Produces Maintenance Engineering Calls (MECs) for submission to a Logistical Assistance Representative (LAR) for repairs beyond the limits specified in the technical publications.
  • Tracks life-limited components in aircraft historical records.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with a valid U.S. Drivers license
  • Must possess or be able to obtain secret clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 years in aircraft maintenance, with at least two years of experience in assigned MDS aircraft.
  • Service school producing aircraft technical inspectors preferable.
  • Must be able to climb on/in/around aircraft, maintenance stands, and major components.
  • Weight and balance certification is desirable.
