Alternative Markets specialized in mono-line and/or multi-line primary programs on either a traditional guaranteed cost (Specialty Programs) or risk-sharing basis (Agency, Association or Group Captives). Alternative Markets focuses on niche programs.

The Alternative Markets Division is looking for a Senior Administrative Operations Representative to join their team. Great American’s culture is built on connection, shared learning, and strong relationships. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be onsite five days a week.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of moderately complex administrative operational tasks including one or more of the following:

    • Scans documents and fulfills print orders and document assembly requests.

    • Prepares and distributes incoming mail and processes outgoing mail.

    • Coordinates the procurement and organization of supplies.

    • Schedules and coordinates meetings and events. May coordinate with catering services and set up and disassemble food service stations.

    • Welcomes and directs visitors to the office building. Answers, routes and screens incoming calls.

    • Inputs or loads data into a system. Audits records for quality, accuracy and maintainability.

    • May assist with or coordinate special projects, assisting with the planning and execution.

    • May coordinate technology needs for supported groups including new hire set-up, hardware requests, and user access requests.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Generally, a minimum of 3 years of experience in administrative or office support functions.

Scope of Job/Qualifications: Possesses advanced organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently. High attention to detail related to communications, scheduling, and recordkeeping. Demonstrates working knowledge of business systems and applications and utilizes relevant equipment to perform job functions effectively. Maintains working knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures and applies a general understanding of the business and organization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
