Licensed Acupuncturist (Part-Time)

Tuesday & Thursday | Chicago, IL

Suvarna Chiropractic Inc. is seeking a compassionate, professional, and motivated Licensed Acupuncturist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare practice. The Licensed Acupuncturist will provide high-quality acupuncture services while working collaboratively with our chiropractic, massage therapy, and wellness team. The position is for immediate start date. 

We are looking for someone who is focused on excellent patient care, building long-term patient relationships, and growing an acupuncture practice within an established healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform comprehensive patient consultations and assessments.
  • Develop individualized acupuncture treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide safe and effective acupuncture treatments in accordance with Illinois licensing requirements and professional standards.
  • Treat patients for conditions such as:
    • Neck and back pain
    • Shoulder and joint pain
    • Headaches and migraines
    • Sciatica
    • Muscle tension and sports-related conditions
    • Stress and relaxation
    • Sleep concerns
    • General wellness
  • Educate patients regarding acupuncture, treatment frequency, expected outcomes, and appropriate wellness recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and treatment notes.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when appropriate.
  • Coordinate patient care with chiropractors, massage therapists, and other providers within the practice.
  • Maintain treatment rooms, acupuncture supplies, and equipment according to appropriate cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Follow all applicable HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and professional requirements.
  • Help develop patient retention through appropriate treatment recommendations and follow-up care.
  • Participate in practice marketing, educational workshops, community events, and patient outreach when appropriate.
  • Help introduce existing chiropractic and massage patients to acupuncture services when clinically appropriate.

Qualifications


  • Current and active Illinois Acupuncture License.
  • Graduate of an accredited acupuncture/Oriental medicine program.
  • NCCAOM certification or eligibility as required by applicable Illinois regulations.
  • Current professional liability/malpractice insurance or willingness to obtain coverage.
  • Strong patient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and patient-focused.
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary practice.
  • Experience in a chiropractic, physical medicine, rehabilitation, or wellness environment is preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills


Experience treating musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions is highly desirable. Experience with complementary modalities such as cupping, Gua Sha, electroacupuncture, or other appropriately licensed techniques is a plus.

The ideal candidate is comfortable developing a patient base and understands the importance of patient education, treatment-plan compliance, retention, referrals, and excellent customer service.

Schedule


Part-time or full-time opportunities may be available. Weekday, evening, and/or weekend availability is preferred depending on patient demand.

Compensation


Competitive compensation based on experience, schedule, and employment arrangement. Compensation structure is hourly, per-treatment, commission-based, or another mutually agreed-upon structure.
