About the RoleÂ
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Software Engineer to supporttechnicaldevelopment of our AI-powered Code Security Scanner platform. This platform leverages Generative AI and advanced security automation to identify, validate, and report software vulnerabilities across enterprise codebases.Â
The platform consists of:Â
React-based web application and user dashboardÂ
Python-based orchestration and scanning frameworkÂ
Azure AI Foundry integrationsÂ
Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and cloud-native servicesÂ
Containerized scanning environments and security controlsÂ
This role will be responsible for ongoing development, architectural evolution, and long-term enhancement of the platform. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable designing user-facing applications, building automation, integrating AI services, and securing cloud-native solutions. Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Platform OwnershipÂ
Serve as a lead technical developer for the AI Code Scanner platform.Â
Implement modernization, enhancements, and scalability initiatives.Â
Front-End DevelopmentÂ
Enhance and support the React-based web application.Â
Improve user experience, reporting dashboards, workflow management, and administrative capabilities.Â
Implement secure authentication and authorization patterns.Â
Backend & AI EngineeringÂ
Maintain and extend Python-based orchestration and scanning services.Â
Build integrations with Azure AI Foundry and LLM-based security analysis capabilities.Â
Enhance automated vulnerability analysis, reporting, and verification workflows.Â
DevOps & AutomationÂ
Design and maintain GitHub Actions workflows.Â
Manage CI/CD pipelines and ephemeral runner infrastructure.Â
Improve automation, reliability, observability, and deployment processes.Â

Salary Range:
$114,500 - 194,700 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
