We are currently seeking a Contract Administrator!

 

Essential duties and responsibilities for the Contract Administrator include, but are not limited to:

  • Support administration and management of joint venture agreements, EPC contracts, and subcontracts on a day-to-day basis
  • Work closely with internal legal team, project teams and joint venture partners to initiate, prepare, issue, and manage notices to subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Maintain familiarity with contract terms, notice requirements, project requirements, correspondence, and project developments in order to provide effective contract administration support
  • Identify delays, potential delays, disruption events, and additional cost impacts arising from joint venture partners, owner, subcontractor or supplier actions and support the project team in documenting and addressing those issues
  • Support project teams in identifying situations where change orders to the client may be appropriate due to subcontractor or supplier actions, delays, disruptions, scope changes, or other project developments
  • Assist in the preparation, coordination, and management of contractual notices and related documentation
  • Assist in responding to and coordinating requests for information received from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Keep procurement and legal groups informed of notices, claims, issues, and other significant communications received from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders such as joint venture partners, to support issue resolution and protect Sargent & Lundy’s contractual and commercial interests
  • Maintain organized records of contract correspondence, notices, RFIs, and other contract administration documentation

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in our downtown Chicago office and 2 days working remotely from home. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in contract administration, subcontract administration, or contract management
  • Required experience supporting construction projects
  • Experience working with project teams and joint venture partners
  • Strong understanding of subcontract administration practices, notice requirements, delay identification, cost impact recognition, and change management processes
  • Experience identifying and elevating contractual and commercial issues in a timely manner
  • Experience supporting subcontractor and supplier notices, claims, and change-related matters
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with project teams, procurement personnel, legal counsel, and external business partners
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation Range

$75,210.00 - $115,210.00
